Borna Barisic hasn’t had the best of luck since joining Rangers in the summer.
He signed a four-year contract in early August, after leaving Osijek, in his native Croatia.

During his first few weeks as a Ger, he really impressed.
Not afraid to bomb forward down the left flank, the standard of his crossing from wide areas, really caught the eye.
However, a series of injuries then struck,
Since the winter break, he’s been attempting to rediscover his early season form.

Indifferent recent displays and some excellent contributions from his only genuine competition – Andy Halliday – means for the first time, he’s under a bit of pressure.
Against Dundee, on Wednesday night, he looked like a man with a point to prove.
In the second half in particular, with the game already won, he let fly on a number of occasions, clearly trying to get his name on the scoresheet.
Agonisingly close to a wonderful goal
Footage released on Thursday afternoon by the Rangers Twitter account, shows just how close he came to scoring his first goal for the club.
With 20 minutes remaining, he stood over a free-kick, 25 yards out.
After taking just a two-step run up, his curling effort smacked off the underside of the crossbar, bounced in the goal mouth and away, with the Dee ‘keeper rooted to the spot.
It was a wonderful piece of technique, deserving of a goal.
It’s not footage the man himself will want to see, but it’s a great camera angle that gives us an idea of just how fine the margins can be in this game.
If he keeps producing efforts like that, though, his luck is bound to change soon.
