A US club sent a message to Rangers following their victory over Livingston as Steven Gerrard moved a step closer to ending his cup hoodoo.
The Gers triumphed 2-0 in a Premier Sports Cup quarter-final at Ibrox to seal their place in the final four.

After a lacklustre first-half display, Ianis Hagi set up Kemar Roofe to open the scoring in the 48th minute and 15 minutes later, Alfredo Morelos capitalised on an error from Livi keeper Max Stryjek to give the hosts some breathing space.
Rangers were knocked out at the quarter-final stage last season by St Mirren so the win represents progress for Gerrard, who has struggled in domestic cup competitions since his appointment as manager in 2018.
After the match, partner club Orange County SC sent a congratulatory message on Twitter.
“Let’s go GERS,” they wrote when quote tweeting the full-time result, before adding a blue heart emoji.
Rangers liked the tweet but hadn’t responded by the time of writing.

The Light Blues and OCSC have officially been partners since December 2019 and although collaboration has been restricted by the pandemic, there have been combined merchandise initiatives and instances of player trading, while a joint football camp was held in California during the summer.
OCSC are currently third in the USL Championship Western Conference, 24 matches into their season.
Rhys Breen and Jack Thomson moved on loan to the second-tier outfit in May but they have both since returned to Scotland, with Breen signing for Dunfermline Athletic on a permanent deal and Thomson joining Queen’s Park on loan.
Former Rangers player Rob Kiernan is still there, though, and has played in all but two of their league matches in 2021.
Rangers assistant boss Gary McAllister heaped plenty of praise on a popular player after the Livi win.
