Manchester City star Jack Grealish has taken to Instagram to hail Rangers icon Scott Arfield for his guitar skills at MLS side Charlotte FC.
The 35-year-old ex-Canadian international – who left Rangers for the USA after a five-year stint in the summer – has been serenading his teammates in North Carolina.
In a video uploaded to Instagram, the talented guitar player was clipped singing Bobby McFerrin classic Don’t Worry, Be Happy and Ben E. King song Stand By Me in the Charlotte FC canteen.
The clip then caught the attention of Manchester City attacker Jack Grealish, who took to Instagram to applaud Scott Arfield for the songs.

Sharing the official Charlotte FC clip on his Instagram story, the £100m Man City star said: “I tell u what @scottyarf didn’t know you had this in the locker 🤣🤣🤣. Unbelievable Geofffff 👏🏻👏🏻🤩.”
Whilst Jack Grealish and Scott Arfield never played together, the two would’ve faced off against one another in the Premier League.
Grealish famously came through as a youth at Aston Villa before his big money switch to Manchester City whilst Arfield spent five years with Burnley before moving to Ibrox.
Jack Grealish might also be surprised at Scott Arfield’s pipes, but no-one in Scotland will be.
The former Falkirk star famously served as the frontman of Scottish indie band The Begbies before Bairns boss Eddie May convinced him to focus on football.
Back in November last year Arfield also uploaded a video of himself covering Zach Bryan song Something in the Orange to his official Instagram account.
Rangers fans grateful Scotty chose football over music
Rangers fans might well be very glad Scott Arfield decided to pursue a career in football instead of music after he eventually wound up turning out in Glasgow.
Starting his career in Falkirk, the midfielder moved to Huddersfield Town where he played for three years before that stint at Burnley.
The first signing of the Steven Gerrard era, Scott Arfield became synonymous with the Rangers team during his five years at the club, playing 233 games, scoring 43 goals, and laying on 19 assists.
Still impressing with Charlotte FC, the midfielder made 19 appearances in all competitions for the USA club last season, scoring three goals.
As Jack Grealish lauds his singing abilities, perhaps it won’t be the last time we see Scott Arfield behind a guitar and maybe one day Rangers will have him lined up for a gig in New Edmiston House!
