BBC Sport pundit Derek Ferguson has raved about Rangers right-back James Tavernier.
Derek Ferguson has said on Sportsound that Rangers right-back James Tavernier is brilliant going forward.
The former Rangers player has noted the “unbelievable” stats that Tavernier has for the Gers.
Former Scotland international Leanne Crichton also praised Tavernier while watching the Rangers right-back in action against Ross County on Saturday.
Rangers got the better of Ross County away from home in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.
Tavernier scored the second goal for Michael Beale’s side in the 26th minute.

It was a wonderful strike from the 31-year-old, who carried the ball into the County half and then fired home into the top-left corner from 25 yards.
It was a goal that any striker would be proud of.

And Tavernier is a right-back.
Crichton said about Tavernier’s goal: “It’s an unbelievable hit by James Tavernier. Absolutely top drawer. The finish is sublime.”
Ferguson said: “Tavernier’s stats are unbelievable. At times he can be suspect at the back, but going forward he is wonderful.”
Tavernier is one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership and has been superb for Rangers over the years.
The 31-year-old has been on the books of Rangers since 2015 and has developed into an important source of goals for the Gers.
The former Newcastle United player scored 16 goals and gave nine assists in 38 Scottish Premiership matches for Rangers last season.
Back in 2021-22, Tavernier scored six goals and provided 12 assists in 31 league matches for the Gers.
