Ovie Ejaria came to Rangers a relative unknown. But in the time that he’s been here, he’s settled into nicely to the red, white and blue of Rangers.
His goal against FC Ufa was superbly taken. The 20-year-old London born Liverpool loanee has looked many years his senior in recent weeks and it’s been in the two legs against Ufa he’s really shone.
The youngster was also given major compliments by Gerrard after the first leg. It was his goal in the second leg which secures Rangers Europa league status and the money that comes with it.

Settling in very nicely
Initially Ejaria took a little bit of time to get into a rhythm with Rangers and during this period he wasn’t poor. He focused on doing the simple things well. It’s take him a few matches to get a hold of games, but get a hold of them he has.
That’s two goals in two matches, and he’s becoming a focal point of the team. He has an immense ability to retain the ball very close to his feet and come out with it even when he looks like he’s about to lose it.
He is confident, capable and looks a real prospect for Liverpool and England beyond Rangers.

Keeping a major signing out the team
Ejaria’s recent performances are also keeping Scott Arfield out of the team, something the Scottish born Canadian wouldn’t have expected. Arfield started tonight but when Coulibaly is back, on current form I wouldn’t expect him to pip Ovie.
How much Ejaria is relishing his role is Rangers is evident in his play. His attitude is also striking. He’s ferocious, passionate and hardworking. The fact Rangers had to play almost half an hour with 9 men didn’t phase him.
That’s to be commended for someone so young.
Ovie Ejaria is becoming a huge player in this Rangers team. And it looks like he can handle it.
