The Express reports that potential Ibrox departures have fallen through, while another player will be out of action for three weeks

Hardie and Middleton

Prospective transfers for both Ryan Hardie and Glenn Middleton are both said to have fallen through.
Last week, The Sun journalist Alan Nixon, reported that Blackpool were looking to finalise a move for the 6ft 2″ striker. However, it seems the 22-year-old won’t be heading to Bloomfield Road after all.
Similarly, the Daily Record reported that Middleton had secured a loan move to Doncaster Rovers. Managerial upheaval at Donny appears to have scuppered those plans, though.
Consequently, it’s said that Rangers are now looking for new potential loan destinations for both players.

Defensive injury

Furthermore, the Express details some injury news concerning Jon Flanagan.
The full-back didn’t feature against the U’s and it transpires that’s because he requires a minor hernia operation. The procedure is set to keep him out for the next three weeks.

Naturally, then, he will miss both legs of the St Joseph’s Europa League tie. Therefore, Borna Barisic looks to have a near unchallenged run at the left-back berth.
He endured a disappointing first season at Ibrox, and lost his place to a resurgent Flanno at the back end of the campaign.
