Rangers assistant manager Gary McAllister has hinted that the Gers could make changes to the side ahead of the club’s Scottish Premiership trip to St Johnstone.
The Gers are set to visit the Saints this Wednesday evening on league duty before the club welcome St Johnstone to Ibrox in the Scottish Cup this weekend.
Ahead of the double-header against Callum Davidson’s side, McAllister hinted the XI could be freshened up from the weekend’s 2-0 win over Celtic but also reiterated that the club would put a strong team out.
The Gers remain unbeaten in the Scottish Premiership with four games to go whilst the club are eyeing a league and cup double with the Scottish Cup.
“We’ve got a strong squad and we will freshen up though I imagine,” said McAllister [Rangers].
“We’re going in against a team that’s highly organise and has had a real good season so we’re expecting a real tough game.”
Combine this with the presence of Scott Wright at the post-match press conference and it suggests that at the very least the Ibrox winger will be drafted into the side.
It’s not an exact science, but generally if the player does the media he is thrown into the match.
Rangers will be well aware of the Cup match on the horizon and we’ve factored that into our thinking for this match.

We expect captain James Tavernier to return to the starting line-up, whilst we also expect Scott Wright to come back into the side for Scott Arfield.
As a result, we expect Joe Aribo to drop back into midfield with Kemar Roofe also coming back into the side, replacing winger Ryan Kent.
