Tributes have been paid to Ukrainian soldier Ihor Usyk, a Rangers fan who lost his life fighting in the war against Russia.
Ukrainian news agency Euromaidan Press shared an image of Ihor alongside three other fallen comrades on their official Twitter account.
Alongside Oleh Hromadsky, Oleksandr Kish and Vasyl Bilak, Ihor Usyk laid down his life for his country with the Ukrainian soldier pictured wearing the Rangers away top from season 11/12.
“They went to war when Russia invaded Ukraine,” reads a message.
“They believed in Freedom, the right to live & work in their God-given land Remember they laid down their lives not only for Ukraine, but for all of Europe!
“RIP – Oleh Hromadsky, Ihor Usyk, Oleksandr Kish, Vasyl Bilak.”

The picture of Ihor Usyk in a Rangers jersey will hit home to a lot of fans back home in the UK as Ukraine continue to repel the invasion of Russia.

Former Rangers and Ukraine star Alexei Mikhailichenko was also in the news this week after he revealed that he’d gathered his family in Kyiv following the invasion.
Speaking to the Daily Record, the 58-year-old confirmed that himself and his family were as safe as can be expected at the moment.
“We’re in Kiev and we’re as safe as we can be at the moment,” said Alexei.
“The family is all together here at our house. My son Alexei is here with his girlfriend, his aunts and uncles and all the pets.
“We were woken up this morning by air raids sirens going off at 6am. That was a bit alarming as you can imagine.
“We’re just waiting to see what happens next. The situation outside is not good.
“There are sirens blaring, helicopters flying overhead. There’s constant fighting very close to Kiev.
“We can hear it all. We heard a plane getting shot down near us. It’s awful.
“When the sirens first went off in the morning we heard blasts from our anti-aircraft guns.
“My son did his studies in London and says it feels like we’re living through a live history class.
“Obviously, I feel tense. To live with such a neighbour is difficult.”

Rangers could also be directly affected by the conflict as Serbia offer a route to one Russian club to play their upcoming Europa League clash at a neutral venue.
