Turkish club Trabzonspor appear to be big fans of the Rangers squad which is currently in the process of being ripped up.
That’s because the Super Lig side have already signed two ex-Rangers stars with two more of the club’s current crop also being strongly linked with a move to Turkey.
Rangers manager Philippe Clement has routinely lamented the loss of John Lundstram, the Scouse midfielder joining Trabzonspor at the end of his contract this summer.
Croatian international Borna Barisic has joined him.
Rangers captain James Tavernier was also the subject of a formal interest from Trabzonspor earlier in the window.
Now, news of yet more Rangers transfer interest will turn heads at Ibrox/Hampden as one wantaway star meets with a Turkish delegation.

Cantwell wanted by Trabzonspor
It’s clear that Todd Cantwell has no future at Rangers.
The talented playmaker might have top class potential but he has displayed a selfish attitude and we don’t think there will be too many sad to see the ex-Norwich star go.
With Cantwell telling Philippe Clement that he wants out, Rangers have struggled to find would-be suitors up until now.
According to Turkish outlet Karadeniz Gazete, Trabzonspor officials jetted into Scotland to meet with Todd Cantwell earlier in the week.
This would explain the private plane which jetted into Scotland from Turkey and raised eyebrows before going viral on social media.
The report claims that the initial discussions with Todd Cantwell and his representatives were ‘positive’ and that the deal is on course to be made ‘official’.
We’ll take this with a pinch of salt for the time being but it’s certainly a huge positive if Rangers can shift Todd Cantwell out the door in the coming days.
Rangers sale can boost transfer bids
Whilst nothing is signed or sealed just yet, Todd Cantwell looks a legitimate target for Trabzonspor.
The Black Sea club already have Borna Barisic and John Lundstram in situ to help aid any transition to Turkey and Turkish football with Cantwell looking for a new challenge.
Rangers captain James Tavernier also remains a live target for the Turkish side who are yet to meet the Ibrox club’s asking price over the right-back.
Rangers are waiting on outgoing transfer deals to be completed so they can kick their own recruitment campaign up a level this summer.
The Gers are known to be on the hunt for an experienced ‘number six’ type midfielder with the club also hunting an effective, match-winning winger option.
