Danilo is back in the Rangers team and back amongst the goals after his strike against Kilmarnock at Ibrox.
Things haven’t always gone to plan for the Brazilian hitman since his £6m move from Feyenoord in the summer of 2023.
Injuries have hampered Danilo settling into life at Rangers but the Christian hitman has always remained patient and looked to the skies above for strength and support.
Now, as Danilo reflects on a crucial comeback goal in the 6-0 Scottish Premiership romp over Kilmarnock, the striker’s latest Instagram post is drawing support from around football.

Danilo Instagram post turns heads
In an emotional post on Instagram, Danilo shared a clip of himself scoring against Kilmarnock with the caption ‘God doesn’t forget your prayers. He answers when the time is right’.
The Instagram post has heralded plenty of support from Rangers fans, but it’s also turned the heads of several figures associated with the Gers.
Former Rangers midfielder Todd Cantwell is an ex-teammate of Danilo’s and would’ve seen the Brazilian’s struggle with injury at Ibrox.
In a message of support, Cantwell wrote: ‘Yes Dannyyyy’
There was a message from a current Rangers teammate too, as Nicolas Raskin chimed in to show support with the Ibrox striker.
Raskin was praised by Philippe Clement for his role in helping Hamza Igamane settle in Glasgow and the midfielder is taking an increased leadership role at Ibrox.
Sharing a message saying ‘love that’, Rangers teammates Rabbi Matondo and Oscar Cortes also had their own messages of support.
Matondo and Cortes both know what it’s like to struggle with injury, with Rabbi writing ‘Amen brudda’ and Oscar Cortes saying ‘Dale Hermanito’, which translates as ‘go for it, little brother’.
There was also time for Dutch international and AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders to send a message to Danilo.
Reijnders might’ve also wound up moving to Rangers had things gone differently in 2022 and the two are clearly familiar with each other from their time in the Netherlands.
The Dutch international shared a muscle and love heart emoji in support of the Brazilian striker.
Rangers striker focused on making impact
Danilo has also been speaking to the press following the goal against Kilmarnock as he steps up his return for Rangers.
The Brazilian striker has always looked like a sharp player with big potential when he’s played in a Gers jersey but injury has always struck at an inopportune time.
Now back in the team and back amongst the goals, Danilo is focused on making an impact at Rangers and repaying the faith the club put in him.
”It’s a relief,” said Danilo. “I think that’s what the celebrations were.
”Just being out there and trying to have my opportunities, but I didn’t finish them off.
”Obviously when you score it’s so nice to have those feelings again so hopefully more to come right now.
”I’ve been working inside and outside as well just to keep myself fit and also prevent those kind of silly injuries as well.
“It’s difficult to be out and you cannot do nothing but I think everybody is trying to do their best.
”When I came back I just tried to be positive and try to help the team as much as I can.
”So yeah, just right now I am so happy to be back and be back on the field as well, that’s the most important thing.”
