The honeymoon period is already over for new Rangers boss Barry Ferguson before the whistle was blown for kick-off for his first game in charge.
As a Hall of Fame member with a glittering history of success, the former Ibrox hero has also experienced a low or two and few are as well versed on the demands placed by the Light Blues faithful.
After naming his first Rangers starting Xi to face Kilmarnock, Ferguson has learned the hard way that everyone knows better.

The Rangers manager promised changes in terms of mentality and approach, however, there’s not been any in the line-up, much to the annoyance of these fans.
“Did Clement pick the team before he left?” Asked one fan. “Was there a clause that Clement still got to pick the team?” Agreed another.
“Right, you’ve had your laugh, now put up the real team.” Laughed one fan puzzled that the same team that was so poor against St Mirren was given another chance.
Joe Anderson looked a bit deeper and suggested that, for all it might be the same team, the approach might be entirely different, “Thought we might have seen Rice tbh. Barely any changes, but maybe some different tactics from Saturday will show they are good players. Don’t miss out midfield like we did on Saturday, we have good players in there.”
This fan had a similar thought, Ferguson has thrown the pressure back onto the players and asked them the question, “Putting it all back on the players, sink or swim. Let’s see if you actually have the heart to be a Rangers player.”
Does Ferguson’s team make sense?
Ferguson didn’t use a shortage of time as an excuse and there is method to the madness of picking a team that performed so badly against St Mirren.
The reality is, they shouldn’t need to be motivated, they shouldn’t need to be picked up or have an arm put around their shoulder.
As the new boss said, this is Rangers, there are standards that need to be upheld and, so far, the current squad is miles off it on the domestic front.
There is nothing that Ferguson can do about the squad that he has at his disposal, but what he can do is give them a clip round the ear.
