The Rangers squad are firmly in the crosshairs as the inquest into the club’s defeat to Kilmarnock continues.
After a stuttering start to the season, the 1-0 defeat at Rugby Park came as no surprise as a tepid Rangers got their just desserts against Derek McInnes’ team.
But with Philippe Clement shouldering his fair share of the blame, it’s the Rangers team who’ve got it in the neck from some pundits who have called them out for a lack of application.
Now, Livingston coach Marvin Bartley has stunned fans with a shock revelation from the Ibrox dressing room which will be enough to boil the Rangers support’s blood

Marvin Bartley was being asked about the future of Rangers manager Philippe Clement on Clyde Superscoreboard (23/10).
And in response the ex-Hibs defender revealed that sources within the Ibrox dressing room have told him that a stink has set in amongst some of the players.
Claiming that there are a number in the Rangers complement with an attitude of ‘I’ll outlast the manager’ the comments are likely to be shocking to frustrated Ibrox fans.
“I think it’s a big couple of weeks (for Clement),” said Bartley. “Obviously he was given a new contract.
“I’ll be honest, I was in agreement with it.
“From what I was hearing coming out of the dressing room there was one or two players that had the mentality of, ‘I’ll outlast the manager’.
“I’ve been in dressing rooms before and it’s very different for a manager to turn around if players think that that’s a possibility.
“But they need to do more, regardless of anything, regardless of what’s going on behind the scenes.
“I think Rangers have spent north of £15m in transfers this season. They should not be losing to Kilmarnock.”
Rangers performance v Kilmarnock ‘alarming’
Marvin Bartley has taken also taken aim at the Rangers team for their performance against Kilmarnock.
The Livingston coach had previously heard his manager David Martindale claim that he fears the likes of St Johnstone and Falkirk more than the threat of Rangers.
Bartley himself even took a pop on Open Goal.
But now the defender has slaughtered the current Ibrox team, lambasting the players for taking the easy way out and the abject lack of responsibility that resulted in the defeat at Killie.
“I was surprised by their performance or the lack of quality within that performance,” said Bartley.
“I would never question a player and say they don’t want to be out there, they’re not showing any passion.
“But nobody seemed to want to take the game by the scruff of the neck.
“One of the things that was alarming for me watching the game, watching Rangers; there was no forward runners.
“Constantly people were coming to feet, they wanted to do the easy bit, they didn’t want to do the hard yards.
“Kilmarnock win that game now by hanging on, people can argue that they actually deserved to win and that shouldn’t happen.”
Later Bartley said: “If I was a Rangers fan I would definitely be disappointed.
“I don’t often like labelling things at players but they have to do more because from one to eleven they should be able to outperform Kilmarnock.”
