Rangers vs Livingston is going to be a quest for revenge for Steven Gerrard, but he’ll also look to keep up a fine record.
The Gers manager has now managed on 13 occasions at Ibrox, and has been unbeaten in all of them. 10 of them have ended in victories, with just three being stalemates. Indeed, only Osijek, Kilmarnock, and Spartak Moscow can boast getting something from Govan this term.
Yet, what’s made Ibrox such a fortress is the goal-scoring potential rippling throughout the side at home. Rangers mauled Motherwell 7-1 at Ibrox last time out. It was a display of total dominance, and showed the power Gerrard’s men have going forward.

Against Livingston, they’ll therefore be looking to add to their sensational tally of 34 goals in those 13 home matches so far. Then again, before the Motherwell match, Rangers had scored just one goal at home in 180 minutes against Moscow and Killie respectively.
Rangers will mainly be looking to put right what was a dreadful result at the Tony Macaroni Arena. Livingston nabbed that game 1-0, just like they did in the previous meeting between the pair beforehand. Rangers have lost the last two matches against Livi, but haven’t lost at home to Livingston in their history.
Gary Holt has performed wonders in West Lothian, however, and will be pleased with his side’s form. They sit in seventh place, just five points from third.

Fortunately for Rangers, their away form hasn’t been the best. They’ve won just one of their four away matches under Holt, and that came against lowly St Mirren. Considering Rangers have banged home 25 goals in their last nine home matches against Livi, this looks ominous.
Of course, the match-winner against Rangers for Livingston, Dolly Menga, is suspended for today’s clash. He headbutted Celtic’s Ryan Christie, and will subsequently serve a two-match ban starting today.
The goals are now starting to spread throughout this Rangers side these days. They’ve managed to bag six different goalscorers in their last two matches alone. Livi should, therefore, feel that wrath when they pitch up at Ibrox later today.
It’s going to be an exciting game as Rangers look to keep the pressure on Celtic. A convincing win against Livingston would be a nice start for the Ibrox men to their hectic schedule.
