When is a conspiracy not a conspiracy? When it’s made up nonsense from a Celtic fan after seeing Rangers cement their two-point lead at the of of the table.
Facing a Hearts team in a rich vein of form would have seen many of them hoping for us to drop points only for Gers boss Philippe Clement to mastermind the best domestic performance of the season.
However, it wasn’t because Rangers played well that we won so convincingly, it’s because they changed formation to make it easier for us, an accusation thrown out, hilariously, by Hearts TV’s commentator.

Was Rangers thumping win over Hearts a conspiracy?
Hearts record against Rangers isn’t great considering their position as the country’s third best team, but it is even worse against Celtic – a point that they always neglect to mention.
Prior to Saturday, Rangers had only beaten Hearts by the odd goal and needed two injury time winners the last time the two sides met at Ibrox.
Again, a point that they neglect to mention.
Posting on X, one Celtic fan – in response to a whole article about Hearts lying down to Rangers on a Celtic blog – claimed that there was something sinister going on:
“I watched 5 mins of the Hearts TV stream and their own commentary team said “the manager has completely changed the shape and I’m not sure why” take from that what you will.”
Laurie Dunsire, the Hearts TV commentator, was quick to reply:
“Well, that’s just a complete lie.”
Further down the thread, the Celtic fan, on being called out, backtracks and even apologises for the accusation.
Why let a lie get in the way of a good story, or conspiracy, and all that.
Prior to Hearts recent win at Parkhead, their record was played 24, lost 23, drawn one at Celtic’s home ground.
But it’s a conspiracy because we beat them at Ibrox?
That’s almost as bad as saying the SFA and SPFL are against you when you have won (or were awarded) every trophy over a four-year period.
The real problem is, they can’t accept that we are a good team now.
Pure and simple and long may it continue.
