Scottish League Two side Elgin City have signed talented Rangers kid Murray Miller on loan until the end of the season.

The Sydney-born teenager has been capped at youth level for both Scotland and Australia but is now declared for the country of his birth.

The 19-year-old – who joined Rangers from Motherwell in July 2017 – joins alongside Forfar youngster Kyle Dalling who also moves to the Black and Whites on loan until the summer.

“We are delighted to announce the signing of 19-year-old midfielder Murray Miller on loan from Rangers FC for the remainder of the Season,” reads an Elgin statement.

“Welcome to the Club Murray.”

Miller joins a range of young Rangers out on loan in the Scottish football pyramid and he’ll be hoping to get some proper experience of the men’s game up north.

Jake Hastie and Glenn Middleton are Premiership loanees with Motherwell and St Johnstone respectively, whilst Lewis Mayo is at Dunfermline and Jamie Barjonas has joined Ayr United.

Kai Kennedy is at Raith Rovers, Ben Williamson is at Arbroath, Aaron Lyall is playing with Inverness, Kieran Wright is at Partick Thistle, Jack Thomson is at Clyde, Kyle McClelland is at Falkirk, Nicky Hogarth is with Cowdenbeath, Brian Kinnear is with Annan Athletic, Chris McKee is with Brechin along with Harris O’Connor and Adam Devine.

Rhys Breen, James Maxwell, Ciaran Dickson and Dapo Mebude are all at Queen of the South.

This is Miller’s first loan move and Rangers fans will be wishing the Ibrox kid all the best as Elgin look to bolster their push for promotion to the Scottish third tier.

Four of those Rangers loanees were all involved in one match as a Scottish Championship side pulled off a major upset against the league leaders.
