Stunning Rangers drone footage shows glory of Ibrox Stadium

Rangers have released stunning drone footage of the club’s famous Ibrox Stadium and its surroundings.

The six minute clip was uploaded to Rangers’ social media pages and shows the camera flying in and out of all four corners of the ground and showing the streets around Ibrox Stadium.

Drone footage would then be shot over the famous stands of Ibrox before entering the stadium and flying up the marble staircase, through the dressing room and even in the matchday tunnel.

The stunning drone shot also shows New Edmiston House before flying in and around the supplementary building, the club shop and event stage it offers.

The stunning six-minute clip was released by Rangers on social media and it’s sure to bring a tear to any bluenose’s eye.

Rangers drone footage supplements Ibrox expansion plans

Rangers release the special drone footage of Ibrox at the same time as chief executive James Bisgrove has been discussing plans to renovate the stadium.

Namely, this includes increasing the capacity with much being made in recent months about Rangers’ intentions to bulk out the 50k seats in the ground.

Speaking as part of the Ibrox Fans Forum – as quoted by leading Rangers fan media outlet Four Lads Had a Dream – Rangers are pressing on with the plans as the club look to further modernise this legendary arena.

Bisgrove also provided details on the club’s plans for a singing sections inside Ibrox, the club’s museum and plans for a statue of club legend Walter Smith.

Rangers are now a leader in Scottish football when it comes to the use of disabled facilities at Ibrox but it’s clear the club are not going to stop there.

With initial expansions of up to 700 seats per corner in the pipeline, James Bisgrove also told fans that the ground eventually be expanded by up to 10,000 seats.

Rangers fans watching the drone footage of the iconic Ibrox Stadium will now look forward to these improvements in the coming months and years.
