A former Rangers striker who left Ibrox on Steven Gerrard’s watch has already scored 11 goals in England this season.
Ryan Hardie came through the youth system at Rangers and made 17 first-team appearances, scoring two goals.

However, after faring well over several loan stints at Livingston, he was sold to Blackpool for an undisclosed fee in July 2019.
Hardie’s time at Bloomfield Road was brief and unsuccessful but after a promising loan spell at Plymouth Argyle last season, he was snapped up by the EFL League One outfit and is now flying in the third tier.
Argyle are currently top of the league, two points ahead of Wigan Athletic, and the former Gers striker’s contributions are a key reason that they’re there.
His goal in an impressive 4-1 win at Accrington Stanley on Saturday afternoon was his eleventh of the season to go alongside three assists, with nine of his strikes and all of his assists coming in the league.

His current haul makes him the fifth top scorer in League One and it’s as many goals as Kemar Roofe and Alfredo Morelos have managed combined in the Premiership.
At this point, it would definitely be a stretch to suggest it was a big mistake to sell Hardie back in 2019.
However, given that he’s still only 24, he could well make the Gers look foolish if he continues to improve over the next few years.
In other news, a Rangers star’s return following international duty was delayed after the plane taking him back to Glasgow struck parakeets shortly after taking off from Heathrow Airport.
