Streaming giant Amazon Prime have announced the release date of a special documentary about the life of ex-Rangers striker and legendary Scottish manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Famous for his time in charge of Aberdeen and Manchester United – as well as a spell with Scotland – Sir Alex also spent time at Ibrox as a player during his footballing career.
Rangers are sure to be mentioned in the documentary which is called Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In and which the streaming giant describe as a “definitive portrait of an unrivalled football career”.
The documentary will be available to stream from the 29th of May 2021, so there’s still a bit of a wait for fans to see it, but it will be one of the mostly hotly anticipated sporting releases of the year.
Sir Alex is widely regarded as one of the most influential footballing figures in history and his tenure at both Aberdeen and Man United are incredibly impressive.
Whilst Dons boss between 1978 and 1986 – a job he took after a four-year spell with St. Mirren – Ferguson won eleven major trophies for the club.
This includes the European Cup Winners Cup in 1982/83 and the resultant Super Cup later that year.
Sir Alex’s influence at Manchester United is legendary and the Govan-born gaffer won 38 trophies at Old Trafford in a 27-year dynasty where he showed remarkable leadership and an innate ability to evolve with the times.
His record at Man U includes 13 Premier League trophies – that’s 13 of the 20 United have won in their history – and two Champions League trophies.

The documentary will be some watch and football fans everywhere, not least those who follow Rangers, will have a keen eye on it when it comes out in May.
Speaking of Sir Alex, one ex-Rangers boss has revealed that Ferguson once considered a move for an Ibrox legend during his tenure at Man Utd.
