Leeds United links to ex-Rangers manager Steven Gerrard have intensified as Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou cools links to the Premier League job.
Former Ibrox gaffer Steven Gerrard is out of work having been sacked by Aston Villa in October and according to the latest Leeds United could yet turn to him to help salvage their Premier League season.

At least that’s according to the Mirror, who claim the Liverpool legend is now amongst the frontrunners for the post as Leeds United reel from various different managers reportedly distancing themselves from the role.
The report claims that Leeds could look to Steven Gerrard and former Rangers assistant Gary MacAllister to fill the void left by the sacking of American manager Jesse Marsch after a trio of coaches seemingly rebuffed approaches.
These include West Brom’s Carlos Corberan, Rayo Vallecano’s Andoni Iraola and Feyenoord’s Arne Slot, with Gary MacAllister famously a former Leeds United midfielder.
Steven Gerrard not only boss linked with Leeds switch
The links between Leeds and Steven Gerrard also come with Celtic manager and Rangers rival Ange Postecoglou breaking his silence on links of his own.
The Australian manager is another name who has been mentioned and interestingly, swatted the questions away without ruling himself out when asked by the press.
“I get the excitement round things like that,” said Postecoglou [BBC].
“If I had a player in a similar boat I’d just tell him, ‘keep playing your football and don’t worry about anything else, all those kinds of things are just noise’.
“I take my own advice on stuff like that. I’ve been around the game long enough to know how quickly it changes.
“If anyone thinks for the last seven days I’ve thought about anything but preparing the team to play today then obviously they haven’t got a clear idea of what I’m about.”
Rangers obviously have a vested interest in what happens at Leeds United with Steven Gerrard and Ange Postecoglou linked so let’s see how the situation progresses in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Malik Tillman has been tipped for the very top; but at Bayern Munich.
