Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has heaped praise on James Tavernier, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.
The captain made more appearances than any other Gers player last season.
With 57 outings, he only missed three games in all competitions, which is an incredible effort.

Stevie G put faith in him by naming him skipper at the start of the season, and it’s fair to say he’s repaid that in terms of commitment and performance.
“Tav could potentially get to the level of the top full-backs in England,’ claimed the manager, as quoted by the Scottish Sun. “If you analyse it, he’s got the body to do it. He’s robust enough to do it and he’s got the technical ability to do it.”
“His quality from the side, in terms of crossing and assists, it doesn’t matter what league you play in. If you’re putting that in, people will finish it off. He’s improved defensively but can still get better.
“He has been so consistent and, for me as a manager, he’s been there for every game and every training session. It’s been me who’s pulled him away from it at times. If I didn’t he’d have played in every game.
“He’s got the body and capacity for any league out there.”

Verdict
This is high praise from the manager for a standout performer.
Marauding down the right flank at every opportunity, his fitness is admirable and deliveries often venomous.
When he missed the final day trip to Kilmarnock, the extent of his influence was laid bare.
With Jon Flanagan stepping in at right-back, the Gers lost the width and attacking threat that had been relied upon all season.
It’s key that the 27-year-old is still at Ibrox come the end of the summer.
