The majority of fans have been willing a Rangers return for Steven Davis, since the early part of the season.
Now that the deal is done and dusted, it’s time to think about what impact he will make.
The Northern Ireland captain offers a bit of everything in the middle of the park. He is comfortable both with dropping back to dictate play and with pressing forward to deliver killer passes.

He reads the game well and pops up with the odd goal.
Perhaps most importantly though, the first interview of his second spell at Rangers, confirmed he shares the same ambitions as the fans.
When speaking

“That’s why you come to Rangers, to challenge for trophies on a regular basis and I think the squad is capable of doing it.”
“Hopefully, come the end of the season, we can achieve something”, he concluded.
Certainly, this is in keeping with the thoughts of the fans. The arrivals of both Defoe and Davis have whipped up a social media storm, with many Bears suggesting top flight title number 55 is on the cards.

There’s no doubt the Ulsterman knows what it takes to be successful at Rangers.
Yet, this time, there is the added difficulty of overturning years of Celtic dominance.
Last month’s Old Firm win put the wheels in motions, but only time will tell if Davis can help finally bring the SPL title, back to Ibrox.
