St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson has launched an extraordinary rant aimed at the referee following his side’s defeat to Rangers.
Rangers ran out 2-1 winners over the Paisley Saints at Ibrox thanks to goals from Mohamed Diomande and Vaclav Cerny in Glasgow.
But a spirited St Mirren team were not simply bystanders in the game and put in a competitive performance to keep the whole of Ibrox on its toes.
Northern Irishman Stephen Robinson was dejected come full-time as a result, and cast some rather confusing glances towards Callum Scott and his team.

St Mirren manager hunts down Rangers referee
St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson reckons his side failed to get the rub of the green against Rangers at Ibrox.
The outspoken Ulsterman claims there ‘wasn’t a decision’ that went in his side’s favour in the entire Scottish Premiership clash.
That’s despite Rangers fans believing rookie whistler Callum Scott was too lenient with St Mirren’s over physicality and playacting in the match.
The extraordinary rant is not in keeping with the reality of the match as Robinson revealed he hunted down the officials and demanded answers come full-time.
The St Mirren manager also pointed to a penalty shout that wasn’t given when Neraysho Kasanwirjo tackled the troublesome Toyosi Olusanya in the box just minutes before Vaclav Cerny scored what proved to be the winner.
Stephen Robinson in Ibrox penalty gripe
“We didn’t get the result we wanted,” Robinson told Sky Sports. “I don’t think we’ve come to Ibrox before and created that many chances.
“I don’t think there was a decision that went anywhere in our direction.
“I’ve asked for explanations for them, which I never usually do.
“But yeah, they got explained to me anyway but whether I agree with them or not doesn’t really matter.
“We’ve had one or two brilliant chances first half and arguably there’s a penalty in there as well that the explanation wasn’t (good enough).
“So I have to trust that VAR has got it right but if we get performances like that we’ll be ok.”
Robinson later added: “We haven’t got what I feel was our just rewards today.
“I thought we deserved at least a point out the game.
“I would be hard-pressed for even the most avid Rangers fan to say we didn’t, but I’m sure they will.”
