Reported Rangers transfer target Fashion Sakala has taken to Instagram with a series of positive messages as he bids to turn around a recent dip in form.
The Gers have been linked with the KV Oostende striker for some time and the Sun reported in February that they are likely to win the race for his signature on a free transfer in the summer, despite interest from Ligue 1 side Lille and several English Championship clubs.
Immediately after the turn of the year, Sakala went on a brilliant goalscoring run, netting eight times in eight Belgian First Division A games.
However, since the last goal of that run against Sint-Truiden in early February, he’s failed to find the net.
The Zambia international has drawn a blank in four matches, while he missed two others with a niggle.
KVO are within touching distance of a Europa League place, but they need their talisman to rediscover his finishing touch and he’s taken to Instagram to give an update on his state of mind, writing a series of positive messages on his story over images and clips of him celebrating goals.
“Winners don’t give up”, “Keep flying and chase the dream”, “Working hard every day never bothered me”, “Hard work brings good results and success”, “I did it before and I will do it again – giving up never crossed my mind” and “very soon I will celebrate my hard work.”
Based on this content, it’s safe to say that the 24-year-old is intent on turning things around sooner rather than later.
KVO are next in action against K Beerschot VA – who are one place behind them in the table in sixth – on Sunday night.
Meanwhile, Rangers are set to ‘host an event at Westminster’ following an intriguing update from an MP.
