The four games that are left at the end of the current season are probably the last thing that Rangers fans are thinking about, including the Old Firm derby that is up next.
Thoughts are already turning to the San Francisco 49ers securing the shares needed to be the new owners and what sort of impact Kevin Thelwell as sporting director can make.
The Rangers squad needs a lot of work and there will be a completely different look to the team that lines up in the Champions League qualifiers when next season kicks off.
Social media rumours about Red Bull being lined up as potential sponsors are adding to the excitement with 49ers brothers Leeds United acting almost like the template for what might happen at Rangers.
If the latest post by the official Leeds Utd X account is anything to go by, Rangers fans could be in line for something that they have been crying out for for years.

Leeds Utd announce stadium expansion plans
Promotion to the Premier League means that the enhancement of Elland Road is a project that the 49ers can now press ahead with.
An official statement by the club showing exactly how big it could be:
“Last week, Leeds City Council’s Executive Board unanimously agreed the regeneration vision and Councillors will now be discussing the pre-application for the modernisation of Elland Road Stadium at a Plans Panel meeting on Thursday 8th May 2025, with the view to increase the capacity from 37,645 to up to 56,500.
“The estimated final capacity of the design in progress is approximately 53,000.”
Rangers are at an advantage in that Ibrox is already close to 52,000 in terms of capacity with a variety of expansion options already being in place.
Will Ibrox be next for the San Francisco 49ers?
The work to the Copland Road stand that saw Rangers having to play at Hampden earlier this season could be repeated in the Broomloan and Sandy Jardine stands which would see capacity pushed close to the 57,000 mark.
The 49ers might not be able to throw money at transfers, but it is projects to the infrastructure like this one at Leeds that they can make a difference with.
Phase two of the Ibrox redevelopment was supposed to be continued this summer, after the fiasco last year, it has already been shelved.
The idea is right, if Rangers are to catch Celtic, they need to be closer in terms of revenue and the only guaranteed way to do this is to have a similar capacity stadium.
