Jake Hastie has reportedly signed a pre-contract with Rangers, with a view to joining the club in the summer [BBC Sport].
Jim Goodwin, as quoted by the Scottish Herald, believes the young winger will be a success.

The 37-year-old has been the manager of Alloa Atheltic since 2016 and knows all about Hastie.
After all, he had him on loan at Recreation Park over the first half of the season.
“He isn’t the finished article, of course he’s not,” explained Goodwin, as quoted by
“I don’t think Rangers or Jake will be looking at him going out on loan. Jake will be going there looking to get into the first team and play regularly, simple as that. There’s no point going to Rangers and thinking ‘I am going to go out on loan again’.
More than just becoming an Ibrox hit, the Wasps boss also tipped the speedster for success at international level.
I hope that Jake goes, is a success, develops even further, gets even better and perhaps even breaks his way into the national team as well. I think that is something he will be looking at doing as well and is more than capable of.”

Verdict
Clearly, Goodwin was extremely impressed with Hastie during his brief stint in the Championship.
It seems to be rave review after rave review for him at the minute, which can only be encouraging ahead of his reportedly imminent transfer.
Joining another addition in wide areas, he could help to wreak havoc at Ibrox next season.
