Philippe Clement is tasked with doing something no Rangers manager before him has ever done as the Gers face Malmo in the Europa League.
The Ibrox side are preparing to kick off a challenging Europa League group stage campaign against the Swedish champions and will be hoping to get off to a positive start.
But the Allsvenskan outfit have proven a challenging European rival previously and Rangers are yet to defeat the Swedes home or away.
As the Rangers team are put through their paces ahead of the clash in Malmö, one burgeoning Ibrox talent will have his sights set on making history on his Europa League debut.

Hamza Igamane eyeing Europa League debut
Hamza Igamane is causing real excitement amongst the Rangers support after finally being introduced to the club’s first-team squad.
The 21-year-old Moroccan striker was given the opportunity to settle in Glasgow following a £1.7m summer move from local outfit FAR Rabat.
With Igamane impressing in a recent cameo v Dundee United, Cyriel Dessers reminded fans who the club’s first choice number nine is with a deadly double v Dundee.
The big Nigerian striker – who has seven goals already this season – is expected to lead the line in Sweden but Hamza Igamane will be eyeing a first taste of European football from the bench.
Still without his first goal in Rangers colours, Igamane was spotted being put through his paces ahead of the clash in Sweden as he eyes a Europa League debut this evening.
Rangers have ‘something special’ in striker talent
Rangers know that they will have to be at their best to overcome a form Malmo side and get their Europa League campaign off to a bright start.
With tougher tests to come this could be one of Rangers’ best opportunities to pick up three points away from Ibrox and it’s all eyes on Philippe Clement’s new-look Gers squad.
Hamza Igamane certainly looks a prospect and as the talented young Rangers striker makes inroads at Ibrox fans are keen to see the bright hitman develop.
Ever gracious, Cyriel Dessers hopes exactly the same as Rangers’ first choice striker joins the Igamane hype train and admits the forward has ‘something special’.
“Obviously you want to be pushed in training and in the games,” Dessers told Premier Sports.
“You need to perform to hold the jersey like you say but also with Danilo and Hamza (Igamane) coming in as well.
“You can see when he’s coming in today as well, he has something special.
“He’s a very good player and I am sure he’s going to help us this season and I hope he’s going to help us a lot.”
