A special tribute is being planned at the upcoming match with Livingston for a diehard Rangers fan who tragically passed away at only 26.
Craig Murray passed away in August after suffering a lifelong heart condition.
Poignantly, the match with Livingston on November 24th would’ve been Craig’s 27th birthday. There’s no doubt he would’ve been in the stadium watching the team he loved to celebrate it.
His family will be traveling to the stadium on the day as a mark of remembrance for him. Following Rangers was Craig’s passion.
To honour the lifelong fan and season ticket holder, his family are asking fans applaud in the 27th minute. It’d mean the world to them. If you’re going to the match, please join the rest of the stadium in celebrating the Craig’s life.
With the tribute also coming at Ibrox, it’s a touching send off in the place he loved the most.
With his family in attendance and let’s hope both the supporters and the team can put on a show for Craig.
Tribute organised by close friend
Close friend Callum Cameron posted on Facebook “He intended on spending it [his birthday] at the Rangers Livingston game. His mum, brother and closest friends are going to go for him to celebrate what would have been his birthday and it would be great if on the 27th minute there could be a round of applause for him.”
Plans for the tribute have also been picked up by Livingston fans.
During our fixture away to Rangers on November 24th, I encourage everyone to join in with a minutes applause on the 27th minute in memory of Craig Murray -a rangers fan who sadly lost his life this August.

If you’re going to the match on the 24th of November, please remember to join in on the 27th minute.
It’s the least we can do to honour the life of a diehard Rangers fan.
