Rangers captain James Tavernier might’ve got a well-deserved first goal of the season against Hamilton but he also caught the eyes of Gers fans for a different reason.
The Ibrox skipper has been in inspired form at the start of this season and has answered his critics by playing as part of a back four which have beat a club record run of clean sheets at the start of the season.

An athletic, commanding presence down the right Tavernier’s delivery also makes the wing-back a real asset and Tav was the furthest man forward as he scored Rangers’ second in the 2-0 win over Hamilton.
Similarly to Hagi’s opener, Tavernier was on hand to tap in a rebound and score his first goal of the season for the Gers.
But the Ibrox captain was caught on camera tripping up over his own feet in the second half and then coolly trying to style it out.
It didn’t miss eagle-eyed Gers fans who’ve been ribbing the Ibrox captain on Twitter:

Tav takes it well and would go on to play a comfortable role in the Gers 2-0 win at the Fountain of Youth Stadium in Lanarkshire.
The Gers captain also took the time to pay tribute to Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman, who tragically died of cancer at the age of 43 yesterday.
The Ibrox skipper crossed his arms across his chest in the style of the Wakanda salute from the popular movie, something which was embraced by the likes of Gers star Joe Aribo.
