Greg Docherty has continued his good form with Shrewsbury Town by scoring his fourth goal of the season against Barnsley last night.

Doc opened the scoring in the second minute of a match Shrewsbury would go on to win 3-1. The Shrews now sit 18th in English League one.

It was the midfielder’s fourth goal in 13 appearances so far this season. He’s become a key fixture in this Shrewsbury team and is fast becoming a fan favourite. The energetic Rangers prospect has been superb out of the Ibrox limelight down south.

He also remains well thought of in Glasgow.

Real hope for Docherty at Rangers

There’s real hope that Greg Docherty can come back to Glasgow next season and be a strong addition to the Rangers squad.

He has reiterated that he doesn’t want to be a bit-part player at the club. He wants to be central to Rangers’ success.

Docherty also played a huge role in arranging the loan move away from his beloved Rangers. He wanted to be playing more and so far his decision to move to Shrewsbury Town has really paid off.

It looks like the 22-year-old will be coming back to Ibrox a more accomplished and confident player.

Let’s hope he can achieve his dream of playing a key role in the first team.
