Should Rangers target Greg Stewart?

Talk of signing a striker has been constant at Rangers since we first kicked a ball this season. And in the versatile Greg Stewart, we may well have a solution.

Only, we’d need to wait until June to snap him up.

The talented forward has been a revelation at Killie this year. On loan from Birmingham until the end of the season, Stewart has been one of the main facets of Kilmarnock’s superb form. He might’ve even been Stevie Clarke’s best player this year.

Stewart has eight goals and five assists in 13 games this season. That’s a contribution of a goal a game. One of them even came at Ibrox, a neat finish too.

Greg Stewart is a big game player for Clarke’s men and they’ll be hoping to snap him up full time come the final whistle in May. But could Rangers steal in?

He toiled at Birmingham City in the Championship but didn’t have much luck. There were changes of management and this limited his chances.

At Aberdeen last year too, things didn’t click for Stewart. But at Killie he’s beginning to show why Birmingham invested £500,000 in him from Dundee in 2016. He won’t be far away from the Scotland squad either.

If Rangers were interested, one major thing also helps. Greg Stewart is a lifelong bluenose.

Would you take a punt on the striker? If not, what about this other lethal bluenose setting the Championship alight?
