Should Rangers risk Alfredo Morelos yellow card against Feyenoord?

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos’s 11 European goals this season proves how central he is to the club’s Europa League charge.

With two games remaining, Rangers remain in with a shout of achieving European football after Christmas for the first time since 2011.

But with Morelos currently sitting one yellow card away from suspension, do Rangers risk him in the tricky tie against Feyenoord?

There are two sides to this. Firstly, Rangers should – as the supporter’s tifo read during the 2-0 win over Porto – “fear no foe”.

If the Ibrox side can go out to Holland and pick up full points against Feyenoord it should be enough to guarantee a spot in the Europa League last 32.

It’s possible too.

Rangers defeated Feyenoord 1-0 at Ibrox but with a feisty de Kuip to look forward to, and old Gers boss Dick Advocaat in the dugout [Feyenoord] it might not be so easy.

Rangers finish the groups at home to Young Boys of Switzerland, a side who took maximum points off us in their own back yard, albeit courtesy of two individual errors.

Despite losing the first match, Rangers performed well in Berne and this match is one which the club should undoubtedly be going into expecting to get a result.

But it’s something which will be much harder to get should Morelos get booked against Feyenoord, something which would be all the more painful should we leave Holland empty-handed.

Steven Gerrard faces a serious dilemma going into the Feyenoord tie on the 28th of November.

Does he go for glory and risk it all with Morelos upfront?

Or does he play it safe and ensure the Colombian will be available for the match against Young Boys at Ibrox?
