Rangers have received a reported £2m in transfer fees this week as the club offload two players who experienced differing fortunes in Glasgow.
The club “reluctantly” let Portuguese winger Daniel Candeias join Turkish side Gençlerbirliği after the 31-year old had been told he was to be a squad player this season.
The hard-working wide player moved on with Gers fan’s best wishes and Rangers reportedly received £250k for his services.

By contrast, Albanian international Eros Grezda’s time in Glasgow was less memorable.
The winger struggled to settle at Ibrox and, thankfully, Rangers managed to recoup most of the £2m they spent on him last season.
But whilst the two players enjoyed contrasting fortunes at the club, it leaves Rangers a little light in terms of quality options out wide.
Candeias would’ve clearly been involved in 30 plus games this season, whilst Eros Grezda is a player of international pedigree.
In the position, Rangers currently have first choice Sheyi Ojo and fellow new signings Jake Hastie and Greg Stewart.

Rangers would be incredibly weakened by an injury to Ojo and stronger options out wide appear necessary.
That makes you think the £2m the club has recouped in transfer fees for Candeias and Grezda must be reinvested into the side for this season.
