Rangers fans are famed the world over for the noise they make at Ibrox, but can they compete with Rapid Vienna’s Rapidviertelstunde?

Almost since the club was founded, Rapid fans spend the final 15 minutes of any match rhythmically clapping and raucously cheering. This anthemic, loud clapping and cheering drives their team on. It’s a unique practice from the Rapid fans and has been going since 1913.

The Rapidviertelstunde will surely be as loud as ever this time round with all the play for in Group G.

The match in the Allianz Stadion is also a sell-out.

Can Rapidviertelstunde silence Rangers fans?

Regardless of the noise created by Rapid fans, you’ll know by the noise that Rangers fans will be there.

We turn up the volume anywhere we go and thousands are planning the trip over the Austria. We also need to win to go through.

It’s doable, but we need a big performance from the players, and the fans. They can be a 12th man for us next Thursday.

The final ten minutes of our match with Rapid at Ibrox was raucous. It was near impossible to hear yourself think. Rangers fans were brilliant that night and they have to be the same in our final Group G game if we’re to go through.

Plus, the Rapidviertelstunde stands no chance against the Bouncy.
