Should Rangers fans find comfort in Ryan Jack omission from TNS tie?

As Rangers beat Welsh outfit The New Saints (TNS) 1-0 in a bounce game at the Hummel Training Centre, much of the talk has centred around Alfredo Morelos.
Whilst Jermain Defoe netted the only goal of the game in the first half, Morelos missed the entire match.
Fans will be hoping El Bufalo missed out as a precaution. But he wasn’t the only one who didn’t make the side for today’s match.

Ryan Jack was also a notable absentee from the list of 22-men who played in the game.
Yet there’s little doubt that Ryan Jack will be at Ibrox next season.
The former Aberdeen captain was a consistent force last campaign and is considered a big part of Steven Gerrard’s team and squad.

The likelihood is that Jack has a niggle and couldn’t be risked. It’s likely to be the same case with Alfredo Morelos.
But such has been the transfer talk surrounding the Colombian, his absence was always going to raise questions.
Especially when you consider just how many players Steven Gerrard used in the match.

The Rangers manager played 22 players in total as the likes of Jamie Murphy, Matt Polster and all seven of the club’s new signings got all-important minutes.

Should Gers fans use the example of Ryan Jack’s exclusion as motivation not to panic over the absence of Alfredo Morelos in the game against TNS?
