Should Killie's Kirk Broadfoot be punished for Rangers Alfredo Morelos incident?

There’s been plenty said in the wake of Rangers draw with Kilmarnock on Saturday. And amongst the usual dissection of the game, the usual suspects have been discussing an off-the-ball clash between Kirk Broadfoot and Alfredo Morelos.
Amazingly, BBC Scotland and Sportscene still managed to turn it into something Morelos’ is responsible for. But this footage below shows just how vicious Kirk Broadfoot was in the lead-up to any bust-up.
The former Rangers defender rakes Morelos Achilles with his boot. It’s incredibly dangerous play, would’ve been immensely painful and should’ve seen red. If you ask me, his reaction is tame compared to what it could’ve been.

The notion that Alfredo Morelos has to somehow take responsibility for this is mental. Absolutely mental.
The only person who has done wrong here is Kirk Broadfoot. It would be astounding, if not unsurprising, if he doesn’t get cited from the Compliance Officer for it.
Kirk Broadfoot pretty much sums up the archaic, dirty tactics of Steve Clarke’s Kilmarnock. Tactics berated by Steven Gerrard when he demanded more “protection” for his players.

This kind of behaviour is why. The fact BBC Scotland and Michael Stewart are highlighting Rangers’ players reactions and not the incidents themselves is ridiculous. They actually call Broadfoot’s behaviour “cute”.
Imagine if it had been a Rangers player carrying out any of this? Imagine it was Morelos?
It’s now up to the Compliance Officer to do her job and retrospectively punish the Kilmarnock defender. When Steven Gerrard was talking about protection, it’s this kind of thing he means.
