Shota Arveladze talks up Rangers return for Weekend of Legends
The Weekend of Legends proved hugely popular last season, with Luis Figo taking a World XI team to Ibrox to face off against a Rangers side and winning 3-2.
Shota Arveladze scored in that clash and the potent Georgian striker will be hoping to do so again as the club welcome another World XI to Ibrox.
This year, there are more world beating names on the rival side’s roster, with the likes of Robin van Persie, Michael Essien, Robbie Fowler and Jaap Stam set to take part. The Rangers website has all the info.
When Shota Arveladze isn’t plugging the Rangers weekend of Legends, the legendary Georgian striker is also proving himself as a manager.

Despite being relieved of his duties at Hull City in September last year, the coach remains highly-rated and enjoyed a successful spell in charge of Pakhtakor Tashkent.
Shota Arveladze has always been regarded as Georgian football’s greatest export, but the country’s latest icon might’ve ended up at Ibrox.
