Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is reportedly on a two-man shortlist for Serie A side Bologna as they look to strengthen ahead of the new season.
According to il Resto del Carlino, Morelos is being considered alongside Real Sociedad forward Aleksander Isak on the Italian club’s transfer shortlist.
The report also suggests that Rangers are unwilling to settle for anything less than €20m, or £18m.
Bologna’s reported interest comes at a time when Rangers reportedly rejected a bid of around £13.7m for the striker from Ligue 1 side Lille [FootMercato].
Lille’s president Gerard Lopez confirmed the French side was interested with the club now expected to test Rangers’ resolve with another bid [Scottish Sun].
Rangers are standing firm on their valuation of the Colombian firebrand as the club look to recoup up to 18 times the £1m the Gers reportedly paid HJK Helsinki for the striker.
It’s not the first time Bologna have reportedly been interested Alfredo Morelos with the Italians being linked to the striker back in the January [1000 Cuori Rossoblu].
The links also come at a time when Rangers have moved for Anderlecht and former Leeds United striker Kemar Roofe.
Rangers have confirmed the deal with the forward which sees the 27-year-old sign a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
Rangers have also been linked with a move for St. Gallen striker Cedric Itten with reports in Switzerland suggesting the forward will “probably” end up at Ibrox [Tagblatt].
