The Scottish Premiership title race is now out of Rangers hands for the first time this season.
Prior to our stumbling draw with St. Johnstone, Rangers harboured hopes of pushing Celtic all the way this year.
But after dropping points it now means Celtic can put a major dent in Rangers’ ambitions with a win against Kilmarnock. And Rangers will be helpless to stop them if they do.

With six points separating the two teams and two Old Firms to go, it meant that technically Rangers still had control over their fate. Goal difference would’ve obviously come into play had Rangers won every game between now and the end of the season.
And if Celtic only dropped points in defeats by Rangers.
But now our rivals can put their fate firmly in their own hands at Rugby Park tomorrow. The Rangers result and turgid performance will be worsened by any positive result for Celtic.

Our rivals would be eight points clear and seemingly unassailable at the top of the league. We’d be relying on them to slip up.
It’s not outwith the realms of possibility, but if Steve Clarke’s Killie don’t do us a favour the league title will be Celtic’s to lose.
Perhaps this future Rangers player can make the difference and drag his new side back into the Scottish Premiership title race?
