Scottish duo Falkirk and Queen’s Park have joined the race to sign young Rangers winger Josh McPake on loan this season, according to the Daily Record.
According to the Record, both clubs have launched ambitious bids to take the player from Ibrox and will compete with Northern Irish side Linfield and Championship Raith Rovers.

This comes after McPake spent the first half of last season on loan at Dundee but struggled to leave a lasting impression on the Dees between injury and a lack of form.
The 19-year-old is at a pivotal stage of his development and needs first-team football if he’s to take the next steps in his career.
Linfield obviously offer top-level football albeit at a lower level than Scottish football, whilst Raith Rovers play in the Scottish Championship.
Falkirk (League One) and Queen’s Park (League Two) play at a lower level but will argue they have ambitions beyond their current positions and can offer first-team football.
The next move is a big move for McPake and the fact this is the jobs market the player is fishing is surprising given his early successes in a Rangers shirt.
The youngster was named Academy Player of the Year in 2019 and made his Rangers debut against St. Joseph’s in a Europa League qualifier last season.

The young winger also signed a new contract at the club in July last year which will tie him to Rangers until 2022.
McPake’s next move is a pivotal and fans will be hoping wherever the talented Rangers youth goes he will get the necessary game time to progress and impress.
