Santi Cazorla has warned Rangers Villarreal are looking to keep momentum going after picking up their first league win since September.
The 2-1 win over Real Betis was also their first at home this season. Two quick fire second half goals from Gerard Moreno and Samuel Chukwueze secured victory for the Yellow Submarines. Giovani Lo Celso pulled one back late on for Betis.
Former Arsenal Cazorla midfielder joined the stuttering side at the start of the season but really believes now is the turning point for the side. It started with Betis, and he’s adamant it has to continue with Rangers.

Cazorla said: “We hope that this victory will be a turning point for our season.
“We just had to beat Betis. There could be no more excuses.
“And I think for almost the first time this season, certainly in the league, we played a complete match for 90 minutes.
“I felt we approached our best form and the important thing now is to keep the momentum going with a win in Glasgow.
“We have set our standards and we have to keep them up in the Europa League now.”
Will Santi Cazorla play a key role at Ibrox?
Thursday Europa League Group G matches are a must win for all four teams. With two games to go, the entire group is still wide open.
Rangers can’t beat Spartak Moscow on head to heads so have to rely on their own performances to make it to the knockout round.
That said, we could still be handed a lifeline by Rapid.

But in this funny old game you can only rely on yourself. And if we’re to beat Villarreal, we need to keep the superb Santi Cazorla quiet.
If Rangers can do that and stop the Spanish side playing we can pick up the result we need here.
The fans also have a massive role to play. All 50,000 of them.
