A number of developments involving Ryan Kent’s status at Liverpool, hint he could be nearing a permanent Anfield exit.
On Sunday, Jurgen Klopp delivered a blow by effectively ruling out his return to Rangers on loan. However, he left the door open for a move away.
“At the age he is now, he needs to find a place where he can settle,” said Klopp, as quoted by BBC Sport.
It sounds as though the German believes Kent’s future lies elsewhere.

Then, it emerged that the winger had unfollowed Liverpool on Twitter [Daily Record]. It’s far from an official transfer request, but these gestures are quite often precursors to movement these days.

Finally, the 22-year-old has since been left out of the Anfield side’s training camp in France [Evening Times]. Following a pre-season tour of the US and a friendly against Napoli (which Kent missed due to a ‘virus’), the squad are ramping up their preparations for the Premier League campaign.

It looks as though Kent will play no part in the camp, though. The likes of Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino do travel following international commitments. With Sadio Mane’s return also imminent, perhaps Kent is now surplus to requirements as well as under the weather.
