Zak Rudden has detailed the classy messages sent his way from Rangers staff members following his departure from Ibrox earlier this week.
The 19-year-old striker left for Partick Thistle, with the Maryhill-based side announcing his signing on a two-and-a-half-year deal on Wednesday afternoon.
The move has ended a near-decade-long association with the Gers for the Scotland youth international, who was keen to escape what had become a cycle of loan spells.
Speaking at Firhill on Thursday afternoon, though, Rudden expressed his delight at leaving the club on good terms and detailed the supportive responses from Rangers staff members.
He even got a message from the club’s Managing Director.
“I’m delighted that I left on a really positive note with them all,” he said.
“I got a phone call from Gerrard just after I left and then a couple of messages from the youth coaches, and Stewart Robertson, one of the directors, just wishing me all the best.”
“I’ve left on a good note.”
He was then drawn further on the call with the Rangers manager.
“He wished me all the best and to just go out and get enough game time and to try and do well for myself.”
