Rangers manager Philippe Clement has previously pledged to reverse the Ibrox side’s injury curse.
But going by the Belgian’s recent luck, it’s going to take more than a revamped medical department to ease the Gers’ continuing injury woes.
Heading into the weekend’s clash with St Johnstone, news that Ridvan Yilmaz is to spend up to six weeks on the sidelines was met with a titter.
The Turkish international has suffered badly from injuries and joins Leon Balogun, Nicolas Raskin, Oscar Cortes and Scott Wright on the sidelines.
But Rangers’ injury issues don’t begin and end there with news that two players have picked up knocks around the 2-0 victory over St Johnstone sure to raise the nerves amongst supporters.
Or have Philippe Clement on the phone to some kind of shaman.

Clement gives Pröpper update
As Rangers welcomed St Johnstone to Hampden in the Premier Sports Cup, the sight of Robin Pröpper in the starting XI was welcomed by supporters.
A summer signing from FC Twente, Pröpper has huge boots to fill at Rangers in the shape of Connor Goldson’s but has started brightly as the Ibrox side look to find some rhythm.
But as is tradition at Rangers, within two starts Mr Pröpper is already breaking down with injury and had to go off just before the half-time interval.
It was a moment which had hearts in mouths amongst Rangers fans, with the centre-back area one that looks increasingly short at Ibrox.
Speaking after the match, a frustrated Philippe Clement was asked about what happened with Robin Pröpper and revealed the knock came as the result of a physical collision.
Thankfully, Clement is positive that Pröpper will be ok for the coming matches.
“I think it will be OK,” Clement told the press after the match.
“Robin felt totally blocked in his back with a knock, with a duel, and it blocked his back.
“Because of that he started to have problems with his groin so he could not continue.
“Of course if you cannot run, you cannot turn, you cannot play.
“But I hope and I think it will not be a bad injury.”
Lawrence absence explained
These comments come after Philippe Clement had been speaking about Tom Lawrence heading into the clash with St Johnstone.
The Welshman has been an ever-present for the team this season after two campaigns marred by injury problems.
But as the team sheets came out at Hampden there was no place for Tom Lawrence in Philippe Clement’s squad as the Belgian made five changes from the XI that crashed out the Champions League.
Explaining that Lawrence is sick, the Belgian hinted that it is not expected to be a serious issue.
“Tom Lawrence is sick,” Clement told RangersTV.
“We have with Leon Balogun and Scott Wright two players who have small muscle problems.
“Nothing big but too dangerous to play with.”
