Rangers retail partners Castore have unveiled an “exclusive” release which will only be available in the club’s newly launched Rangers Store retail outlet at Ibrox.

Castore have introduced a creative version of their waterproof Garcia hoody which includes the brand’s iconic angel wings above the club’s name.

The hoody – which the Castore website describes as the “world’s first waterproof hoody” – has been modelled by Ianis Hagi and fans will have to travel to Ibrox to pick one up.

The Rangers Store reopened last week to much excitement with Rangers fans flocking to Ibrox Stadium to pick up club merchandise.

Formerly boycotted under the previous retail agreement with Mike Ashley and Sports Direct, the storefront has undergone a £250k refit as part of a £25m retail deal.

Rangers signed a long-term retail deal with the Liverpool-based premium sportswear brand in the summer which brought to an end all existing retail contracts.

The deal hasn’t been without its hiccups but as Castore get used to Rangers, and fans get used to them, the road is beginning to look a little less bumpy ahead.

Rangers have sold north of 100k kits already in what has been a landmark moment in the Ibrox club’s modern history.

But as the relationship develops and both Castore and Rangers benefit from this lucrative partnership, fans can’t be left behind as both successes and failures become clearer.
