An Evening Standard report brings good news for Rangers fans.
It claims that Joe Aribo is set to meet with Charlton manager Lee Bowyer on Friday, to discuss his future at the club.

Bowyer, naturally, is still trying to convince one of his star players to stay.
However, it’s claimed that the 22-year-old has already made up his mind and intends to use the meeting as an opportunity to quit his current club.

Once that is done, his path will be clear to move to Ibrox.
As he is out of contract, there will be no traditional transfer fee as such. However, the Gers will need to stump up a development fee of around £250,000 for the Charlton academy graduate.

Verdict

This potential deal has really picked up steam this week and if accurate, this latest news is excellent for Rangers fans.
Aribo is young and not yet the finished article. However, he already has three near full season’s of football league action behind him and was a key part of the side that earned promotion to the Championship last season.
His stats suggest he possesses a real goal threat from midfield, too. With ten in 39 matches last season, he posted an encouraging strike rate of better than one every four games. He can also play out wide, which will be helpful given the stiff competition for places in midfield.
After the confirmed capture of Sheyi Ojo on Tuesday, things are really looking up ahead of next season.
With that in mind, here’s an update on where the club is said to be at with several other transfer targets.
