Rangers star Abdallah Sima is focused on overcoming PSV after opening his Champions League account at Ibrox.
The Senegalese attacker is on a season long loan from Premier League Brighton and showed why the Seagulls forked out a reported £7m to sign him with a show-stopping effort.
Despite toiling for much of the first period against the Eredivisie side, Abdallah Sima rocketed a stunning effort into the PSV net to open the scoring on the night.
Rangers fans already knew they were getting a top player in the ex-Slavia Prague attacker having played against the Czech outfit in a controversial clash a few years ago.
But now Abdallah Sima has claimed he’s ready to start going to the next level with Rangers after settling into the squad at Ibrox.

MORE RANGERS STORIES
“I feel good,” Sima said after opening the scoring against PSV. “I managed to score in the Champions League here at Ibrox – I wanted to score here, and I am very happy to score.
“Yes, that will really help me and help the team. I wanted to do my best for the team and [on Tuesday night] I gave everything for the team.
“Now I have got to experience playing but it was not easy for me at first because I really only knew a few guys here. I am happy to be in the squad now and delighted to be here.”
Abdallah Sima fully “focused” on overcoming PSV
Speaking after the match, where Ibrahim Sangare had cancelled out Abdallah Sima’s opener and Luuk de Jong did the same for a well worked Rabbi Matondo effort, Abdallah Sima spoke about the Ibrox side’s Champions League hopes.
Rangers know what it takes to go to PSV Eindhoven and come out victorious and Abdallah Sima insists the club will have to repeat the feat if they hope to make the Champions League.
“We do not have a choice,” Sima said: “If we want to play in the Champions League we have to win the second game – so we are focused on that.

“It will not be an easy game because PSV are a very good team, so we have to focus on what we can do and do our best to qualify. I think they have some big, big, big players – whether it is at home or an away game.”
Abdallah Sima, 22, joined Brighton back in 2021 but is yet to play for the Premier League side having spent loan stints with Stoke City, Angers and now Rangers.
