Reported Rangers transfer target Jonson Clarke-Harris scored again for Peterborough United on Saturday afternoon as his stunning form continues.
Bristol Live reported last last month that the Gers have watched £5m-valued Clarke-Harris on multiple occasions this season with a view to a potential summer swoop.
Rangers aren’t the only club interested, though, with English sides Sheffield United, Bournemouth and West Brom all also said to be monitoring the 26-year-old, who is under contract until 2024.
It’s little wonder that there’s speculation, given his returns so far this season.
By netting for the fifth time in his last four outings in a 3-0 win at Swindon Town on Saturday afternoon, he moved onto 29 goals from 43 appearances in all competitions.
Clarke-Harris proved he is human by rolling a penalty wide in the 61st minute, but he made amends in injury time by curling home a fine finish after being teed up by Ricky-Jade Jones.
Another Rangers-linked player, Siriki Dembele [Peterborough Telegraph], scored the other two goals for the Posh, as he moved to eleven for the season to go alongside 12 assists.
Peterborough are second in League One and are now five points clear of third-placed Sunderland, although the Black Cats have a game in hand.
The recent Bristol Live report that credited the Gers with interest in Clarke-Harris suggested that if he fired his current club to promotion, his £5m valuation could rise even higher.
