Reported Rangers transfer target Bongani Zungu has been frozen out by current Amiens boss Luka Elsner because he is eager to leave the French club.
Amiens will kick off next season in Ligue 2 after being relegated from the top division in France and Zungu, 27, has been heavily linked with a move to Ibrox.

The South African midfielder was first linked to Rangers by journalist Joe Crann in early July with Rangers said to have agreed a £3.8m fee for the player [Scotsman] but talks have reportedly stalled.
The same journalist claimed via the Scotsman that the deal wasn’t dead but clubs in La Liga and Serie A were closely monitoring the player.
Whatever happens with Zungu, it’s likely his future will not be at Amiens and as a result, Elsner has banished the midfielder from first-team training.
“I have decided to restrict the squad I will work with,” said Elsner, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.
“So only those whose head is committed to the Amiens project this season will play for me.
“We need only players who are 100 per cent committed to the club and the players who are trying to leave won’t be involved.
“I want players who give everything in training and pre-season.
“The league starts in less than two weeks’ time and I cannot afford to carry players whose futures are not clear.”
According to the Sun report, Rangers remain the favourites to sign the midfielder but there have been conflicting reports about the Gers’ interest in Zungu.

Rumours that Zungu had failed a medical were rebuffed by Joe Crann who claimed the stall concerned personal terms.
However, Mark Dingwall – the editor of Follow, Follow – claims that “Rangers never had an interest” in the midfielder.
