The Daily Record reports that Buriram United are trying to sign Kyle Lafferty from Rangers.
The 31-year-old has a year left on his Ibrox deal, but after being left out of the squad that travelled to Portugal for pre-season, he has no realistic chance of featuring again for the Gers first team.

Others including Apollon Limassol [Scottish Sun] and unnamed clubs in Saudi Arabia and Qatar are also said to be interested [Sunday Life 30/06/2019, back page].
Lafferty is valued at £900k by Transfermarkt. However, he reportedly cost the Gers £500k last summer [Evening Times] and hasn’t lived up to that price tag at Ibrox. It remains to be seen what kind of fee, if any, he would command.
Yet, the Record suggests that while Gerrard wants to bring in another striker, Lafferty must be moved off the wage bill before that can happen.
22-year-old Ryan Hardie has also been linked with a move to League One side, Blackpool.
If both forwards left the club, Gerrard would need to recruit. That’s because he would only have Alfredo Morelos, Jermain Defoe, Zak Rudden and Josh McPake at his disposal. Even at that, there’s uncertainty over Rudden. He failed to make the cut for the pre-season trip to the Algarve, while McPake is still only 17.

A former teammate of the manager’s, Daniel Sturridge, is available on a free. But, as yet there are no firm links to any out and out strikers.
