A Scottish Herald report has suggested how much Rangers may need to stump up, in order to sign John Souttar.
The 22-year-old is only a matter of months into a new deal, which is set to keep him at Tynecastle until 2022.
However, it’s suggested that Rangers still want to buy one of Hearts’ most prized assets.
For his age, Souttar is experienced in the SPL, with over 60 appearances for Dundee United and 88 for the Jambos.
At the weekend, he also
showed a taste for the big occasion by scoring in the Scottish Cup semi-final.

He’s a Scotland international, too. After making his debut in September 2018, he has accumulated three caps at the heart of defence.
With all those factors taken into account, the Herald claim Hearts could demand £2 million for their man.

Rangers will be desperately in need of defensive reinforcements for next season.
That’s because two of the club’s four senior centre-backs are likely to leave in the summer.
Joe Worrall will likely return to Nottingham Forest, while Gareth McAuley’s one-year contract will expire.
Rangers don’t exactly have bottomless funds, but they have to be realistic when chasing a player with three years left on his contract.
The club forked out not dissimilar fees for
Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic last summer [Transfermarkt].
Therefore, a £2 million asking fee shouldn’t be a barrier to a deal.
